There is no genuine education without earnest life-to-life interaction and inspiration. The biggest lesson that the pandemic has taught us is that uncertainty is the most certain thing in life. During this pandemic, we made certain that every challenge we faced was a springboard for learning and growth of the children, teachers and staff. We ensured that innovations and modifications happened to make learning more robust and transdisciplinary. 

The nexus of parents, educators and children demonstrated their resolve to face the uncertainty that came with the unprecedented times. Our educators followed an interdisciplinary approach and adapted to the much required integration of technology with the curriculum. We were able to fill the learning gaps in academics as well as in psychosocial and emotional realms. 

We, at DIS, focussed on essential domains like character building, entrepreneurship, ethical thinking, gender equality and financial literacy across all grades. We also endeavoured to inculcate respect for each life. We also ensured that skill building happened through the best pedagogical practices from around the world to make our students future ready. 

As an institution, our fundamental aim is to impact the life of each student under our care and we hope to enrich their educational path with holistic development to help them become global citizens full of virtue and character.

At DIS, we believe that those who keep learning stay young; therefore, our endeavour has always been to ensure that children remain lifelong learners.

I believe that education is not a commodity to be handed out in a bag at schools. We need to educate our learners such that they leave school not as the learned but as learners who are able to go out in the world inspired by curiosity and courage to ask questions. They must be armed with the right tools to be able to discern what they see.
